


Game Project Studio 2
Contriver
Contriver was my Game Project Studio 2 (GPS2) project. As the lead designer I was in charge of designing the gameplay, item matching criteria, UI and audio design.

Gameplay
The main gameplay for Contriver is weapon building and item matching. Since it was a mobile game, I tried to make use of the mobile-only features and implement them as a mechanic itself.
Item Matching / Criteria
There are weapon parts, energy cores and multiple weapon types in Contriver. I designed each item along with the energy cores to suit both the gameplay and narrative.

User Interface
Since its a mobile game, user interface design plays a huge role. As a team, we made sure that the touch screen feature was efficiently used in order to get the best user experience we could.

Audio Design
The overall audio theme for Contriver was scientific fiction. Most of the sound assets found in the game was downloaded from audio libraries. I also edited and mixed these files in ProTools and Audacity to best suit the game.
